30 trainees secure placements with Tata Electronics, Foxconn and Dixon Technologies
Jharsuguda, September 11, 2026: Vedanta Aluminium’s VeDakshata Skill Development Initiative has created new employment opportunities for 30 youth from Jharsuguda, with trainees securing jobs with leading electronics manufacturers including Tata Electronics, Foxconn and Dixon Technologies.
The latest batch was trained as Mobile Hardware Repair Technicians under the initiative, which aims to equip local youth with industry-relevant skills and connect them with emerging employment opportunities.
Launched in 2025, VeDakshata has steadily expanded its reach in Jharsuguda. Earlier this year, Vedanta Aluminium trained 60 candidates in Mobile Repairing and Food & Beverage Services, followed by another batch of 30 candidates under the Food & Beverage Services programme. With more than 120 youth trained so far, the initiative is building a growing pool of skilled talent for the employment market.
Women trainees from the latest batch have secured opportunities with Tata Electronics and Foxconn in Bengaluru, while male trainees have been placed with Dixon Technologies in Chennai. The placements provide local youth with an entry point into India’s rapidly expanding electronics manufacturing sector.

Through VeDakshata, we are steadily building an extensive framework that connects youth from Jharsuguda with industry-relevant skills and credible employment avenues. The placement with leading companies reinforces the strong impact achieved by this model, and we will continue expanding such opportunities across emerging sectors.”
The offer letters and course completion certificates were presented at a valedictory ceremony held at the VeDakshata Centre in Jharsuguda in the presence of senior company representatives.
Jayshree Naik, a VeDakshata trainee from Jamera, said the programme helped her acquire practical technical skills and understand workplace expectations. “Receiving a job opportunity after completing the training has given me confidence to begin my career and support my family,” she said.
VeDakshata is Vedanta Aluminium’s flagship skill development initiative focused on enhancing the employability of youth from communities around Jharsuguda. Its programmes combine hands-on technical training, workplace readiness, career guidance and placement support.
The initiative forms part of Vedanta Aluminium’s broader community development efforts in Jharsuguda. According to the company, its social impact programmes have reached more than 7 lakh people across Jharsuguda district, covering education, healthcare, sustainable livelihoods, women’s empowerment, sports and community infrastructure. The company has also supported the empowerment of more than 5,300 women through over 500 self-help groups and cooperative initiatives.
