
Managobindpur: Members of the Annapurna Producer Group of the Millet Processing Unit at Managobindpur underwent a two-day training programme aimed at strengthening their skills in value addition, packaging, branding and market linkages of millet-based food products. The programme was organised under Project Sakhyam, supported by Jindal Stainless (JSL), with Master Trainer Sudharshan Sahu serving as the facilitator.
The training combined theoretical sessions with practical demonstrations to help participants develop diversified, quality and market-ready millet products while improving the sustainability and profitability of their enterprise.

The theoretical sessions covered the business potential of millet-based products, product diversification, value addition, costing and pricing, packaging, branding, quality maintenance, customer preferences and identification of suitable market opportunities. Participants were also oriented on strategies for developing products that meet consumer expectations and have greater market potential.

The practical sessions featured demonstrations on the preparation of various millet-based food products, enabling participants to gain hands-on knowledge of processing and product development.
The programme aimed to strengthen the technical and entrepreneurial capabilities of the producer group and support them in expanding their millet enterprise through improved product diversification, quality, value addition and access to suitable markets.
