Kantamal, Odisha: Youth leader Om Prakash Mishra from the Kantamal Assembly constituency has been selected to represent India at the prestigious International Festival of Youth 2026, scheduled to be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from September 11 to 17, 2026.
Mishra was selected through a rigorous and competitive selection process, earning the opportunity to participate in the international youth festival as an Indian representative. His selection has brought pride to Kantamal and the wider Odisha region.
The International Festival of Youth is expected to bring together young representatives from different countries, providing a global platform for cultural exchange, dialogue, leadership development and interaction among young people.
This will not be Mishra’s first appearance on an international platform. He has previously represented India at international forums on two occasions, bringing recognition to the country as well as his home region.
