Dhenkanal: A free health check-up camp and preventive healthcare awareness programme was organized at Badakathia village in Bhuban block by Mahashakti Foundation, with support from TP Central Odisha Distribution Ltd (TPCODL) and Arogya Paribar.
Under the medical guidance of Dr. Asutosh Mishra, a total of 166 community members benefited from the initiative. The camp provided free health screenings, individual medical consultations and essential prescribed medicines to the beneficiaries.
Alongside medical services, the programme focused on creating awareness among rural families about personal hygiene, disease prevention and healthy lifestyle practices. Community members were sensitized on the importance of timely health check-ups and preventive healthcare to reduce the risk of avoidable illnesses.
The initiative aimed to address healthcare challenges faced by underserved rural communities by bringing basic medical services closer to the people. It also highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in strengthening grassroots healthcare and promoting healthier communities.
The organizers said such initiatives can play an important role in bridging healthcare gaps and improving access to preventive and primary healthcare services in rural areas.
