Project Udyamee Reviews Enterprise Progress, Plans Expansion of Livelihood Models in Tikiri

Tikiri, September 1, 2026: A comprehensive half-yearly review meeting of Project Udyamee was held at Aditya Alumina Refinery, Hindalco Industries Limited, Tikiri, to assess the progress of enterprise development initiatives and chalk out a roadmap for scaling up livelihood opportunities for local beneficiaries.
The meeting brought together key representatives and experts, including Mr. Tanmaya Mohanty, Head–CSR, Hindalco Industries Limited; Mr. Basant Panigrahi, Assistant Manager–CSR, Hindalco; Mr. Jugal Kishore Pattnayak, Managing Director, Mahashakti Foundation; and Ms. Jayanti Pradhan, Agri-Allied Expert.
The strategic review focused on the progress of enterprise onboarding and grounding, along with identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand income-generating activities among local communities. The participants discussed practical strategies for ensuring sustainability and scalability of the enterprises supported under Project Udyamee.


As part of the expansion roadmap, several high-impact enterprise models were discussed for rollout, including Veggie Carts, Fruit Carts, Food Vans, Fabrication Units and Commercial Nurseries. These initiatives are aimed at creating sustainable self-employment opportunities while strengthening local value chains.
A major focus of the meeting was also on government convergence, particularly through schemes such as the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). Greater convergence with government programmes is expected to help beneficiaries access financial assistance, institutional support and opportunities for enterprise expansion.
The review meeting concluded with a clear emphasis on strengthening implementation, accelerating enterprise grounding and building sustainable livelihood models that can contribute to the economic empowerment of communities in and around Tikiri.
