Jayant, who recently resigned from News18, has launched his own travel venture. His first group of travellers has already embarked on a six-night trip to Malaysia, marking the beginning of his new professional journey.
For Jayant, travel is not simply a business. It is a passion that has been growing for years. Even while working in television news, he travelled to several countries, including destinations across Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and Thailand.
Interestingly, his love for international travel began with a setback.
At one point, Jayant’s name was removed from a foreign travel list by a former employer, with someone else being chosen in his place. Instead of allowing the disappointment to hold him back, Jayant took it as a challenge and began travelling abroad on his own.
Sometimes, a small setback can open the door to a much bigger opportunity.
Jayant’s new venture is an extension of that journey. When he recently shared details about his first Malaysia group, a conversation followed.
“This time, I am not expecting any profit,” he said.
But the bigger reward, perhaps, is the opportunity to turn a lifelong passion into a profession.
